Mobile-EA setup guide
Mobile-EA is an Android dashboard for MetaTrader 5 (MT5) users who run Expert Advisors. Account sync and trade management require the companion Expert Advisor running inside MT5 on your PC, VPS or server.
Do this before expecting the app to show your account
Installing only the Android app is not enough. You must have MetaTrader 5 running on a machine that can stay online, attach Mobile-EA.ex5 to a chart, enable Algo Trading, allow WebRequest, and then pair the terminal with the app.
System requirements
- An Android phone or tablet with the Mobile-EA app installed.
- A MetaTrader 5 terminal running on your own home PC, VPS or server.
- The ability to run Expert Advisors in that MT5 terminal.
- The compiled companion EA file: Mobile-EA.ex5.
- Mobile-EA currently supports MetaTrader 5 (MT5). MetaTrader 4 is not supported in this release.
- Algo Trading enabled and WebRequest allowed for https://ea-api.mobile-ea.com.
- A stable internet connection on both the Android device and the terminal machine.
1) Prepare your MetaTrader 5 machine
Choose the machine that will keep your account connected: a home PC, a dedicated server, or preferably a VPS if you want the account to remain visible and eligible for watch notifications while your home computer is off.
2) Install the Android app
Install Mobile-EA from Google Play, sign in, then open the Pair terminal flow. New users can use the Ultimate trial after the first successful terminal pairing.
3) Download the companion EA
Download the compiled Expert Advisor and place it in your MetaTrader 5 Experts folder on the PC, VPS or server that runs your terminal.
4) Allow WebRequest in MetaTrader 5
In MetaTrader 5, open Tools → Options → Expert Advisors, enable Allow WebRequest for listed URL, then add:
https://ea-api.mobile-ea.com
5) Attach the EA to a chart
Attach Mobile-EA.ex5 to any chart in the terminal. Make sure Allow Algo Trading is enabled. The EA will display or log a pairing code.
6) Pair from the Android app
Enter the pairing code in Mobile-EA. The account appears as soon as the basic account details are available, while full trade history continues syncing in the Accounts dashboard and can be used throughout Calendar, Market Status, Quotes and Leaderboard workflows.
Important operating note
The terminal machine must remain online for live account data, high-frequency refresh, queued trade actions and Account Watch notifications. If MetaTrader 5 is closed, disconnected, logged out, or the companion EA is removed from the chart, the Android app cannot keep that account live.
Troubleshooting
- If pairing fails, check that the code was copied exactly and has not expired.
- If the account appears disconnected, check that MetaTrader 5 is running, the EA is attached, Algo Trading is enabled and WebRequest includes the exact URL above.
- If prices or positions look stale, verify the terminal is connected to the broker and that your subscription refresh tier is active.
- If Account Watch notifications do not appear, confirm that the terminal is still sending fresh updates and Android notification permission is enabled.
